The CAO brand from General Cigar has announced the new series Arcana with it’s first release titled Mortal Coil.
“With the Arcana series, we are once again shining a light on original tobacco fermentation methods to bring excitement to the fans of CAO. When it came to developing our first Arcana blend with Mortal Coil, we had the choice to go big or go home and as we always do, we decided to go big,” says Rick Rodriquez, CAO’s blender/ ambassador
Mortal Coil utilizes a Connecticut Shade binder and Broadleaf wrapper combined with four fillers including Dominican Piloto Cubano, Honduran jamastran, Nicaraguan Esteli and Dominican Andullo. The Andullo tobacco uses an old-world fermentation process where the tobacco is tightly wrapped in palm tree pods known as “yaguas” with a rope looped around the pod.
A full-flavored and medium-bodied cigar, the Mortal Coil is a 6 1/8 x 50 toro and sells for $10.99. It comes in boxes of 20 with 5,000 boxes produced.
