United Cigars has just announced the long-in-the-works Abuelo. Abuelo is the Spanish word for Grandfather and a tribute to those elder family members.
The Abuelo is a medium-to-full body Honduran puro using a Habano wrapper, Honduran corojo binder, and Honduran grown Cuban-seed Corojo filler.
“This is 100% tobacco from our farm. Filler and Binder are authentic Corojo with our Habano wrapper. A true puro from Julio’s farm,” said Justo Eiroa, JRE Tobacco Co. President. The Abuelo is rolled at Fabrica de Puros Aladino S.A in Las Lomas, Jamstran Honduras.
The cigar is available in boxes of 20 in three sizes: Nieto (5 x 50) – $10.50 per cigar, Nieta ( 5 ¼ x 44) – $10.00 per cigar, Padre ( 6 x 52) – $11.50 per cigar, and Gran Abuelo (6 ½ x 60).
