Nasir Jones, better known as rapper “Nas”, has taken an equity partner stake in Escobar Cigars. The musician also goes by the nickname “Escobar”.
Escobar Cigars stated in 2018 and offers Cuban seeded and rolled cigars that are handcrafted in Nicaragua. Grammy winning rapper Nas will use his consumer reach to help grow the boutique cigar maker.
“When the team at Escobar Cigars initially approached me, I was immediately drawn to the brand by the exceptional quality of their product,” said Nas. “This partnership with Escobar has been almost two years in the making and I am honored to be an equity partner with them. I am looking forward to growing this brand and to giving back to the local communities in Nicaragua where our tobacco is grown, aged, and hand-rolled into a premium cigar.”
Escobar currently offers two Nicaraguan lines, a maduro and a natural. Available vitolas include a 7 x50 Churchill, a 6 x 56 Double Toro Gordo and a 5 x 50 Robusto. Ranging in price from $12 or $14.50 per cigar, each blend is available in boxes of 25.
